Main Objectives
A recent project I completed for a client was to rebrand an existing hair salon.
The owners of the salon requested me to create a distinctive store sign as well as business cards to help attract new customers.
The EZ Pick application was created to provide a standard, efficient method for curbside pickup.
My Role
I was responsible for the graphic design of business cards and a storefront sign representing a hair salon.
I also created a website mockup for the hair salon that advertises the various services provided.
I also conducted user testing for various sections such as the pickup notification system and the log in process.

Designing the Store Sign
The first request from my client was to better represent that the front of the store was a hair salon. I decided to incorporate scissors in the design to clearly show passerby that it is a place to get hair cuts or treatments. I then created many different variations with design including scissors placed horizontally/vertically and scissors as part of a 2d vector.
I also received a request to try incorporating a modern logo using the first two letters of the owner’s names. I decided to overlay the letters “S” and “C” on top of each other. After many color and font iterations the logo was finalized to use the S and C variant separated by a line.
Designing the Business Cards
The next request was to create business cards that would clearly show the branding and contact information. I decided to have the front of the business card have the logo centered with a flat color background to make the letters stand out more.
For the back of the business card, I consulted with the owners to determine the layout and amount of contact information to provide. The final version incorporates a smaller version of the logo and describes the owners as hair designers.
Website Concept
This is a hair salon homepage mockup created using HTML 5 and Bootstrap for a client.
The main goals of the project were to help attract more customers by clearly outlining services, and the location of the salon. I made sure the mockup was accessible for users on desktop and mobile platforms.
